Half-brother of Dr. Dre and a longtime running mate of Snoop Dogg and Nate Dogg (as the trio 213), Warren G went solo with his 1994 debut Regulate… G Funk Era, which debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200. The title single “Regulate” (featuring Nate Dogg) spent 18 weeks in the Top 40 and peaked at #2, earning Grammy nominations for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Solo Performance. He’s also credited with introducing Snoop Dogg to Dr. Dre, a moment that changed hip-hop history.
