Singer-songwriter Christopher Barrett Conner from Boone, NC, who performs under the lowercase single name barrett. Raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains, his Appalachian roots run through every song he writes — folk-rooted, emotionally direct, drawing comparisons to The Lumineers and Bon Iver. His collaboration “Evergreen Lover” with Evan Honer (February 2025) surpassed 1.3 million streams, and he co-wrote the Shaboozey/Myles Smith single “Blink Twice.” His debut EP Appalachian (May 2025, AWAL) and subsequent full-length Appalachian Home mark the arrival of a compelling new voice in American roots music.
