The Rock Orchestra

The Rock Orchestra by Candlelight is a one-of-a-kind concert experience that does exactly what its name suggests — transforming the greatest rock and metal anthems of the last 50 years into something hauntingly beautiful, powerful, and completely unlike anything else on tour.

Founded in 2020 by producer and events entrepreneur Nathan Reed, the Rock Orchestra was built on a simple but compelling vision: reimagine legendary rock and metal with all the grace and power of classical music. The result is a spellbinding 90-minute spectacle performed by a rotating collective of 14 world-class classical musicians bathed in a sea of flickering candles, dressed in dark Renaissance-inspired costumes and rhinestone-embellished masks, with a towering animated skull as the centerpiece of the stage.

The ensemble effortlessly bridges two worlds that rarely meet — sweeping orchestral strings, electrified violins, upright basses, and brass horns colliding with walls of distortion and full rock concert sound levels. Soaring vocalists bring anthems to life with operatic power, whether channeling the delicate melodies of “Dream On” or the raw fury of “Killing in the Name.” The setlist pulls from the deepest catalog of rock and metal history, spanning Metallica, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Guns N’ Roses, Linkin Park, Rage Against the Machine, Evanescence, My Chemical Romance, System of a Down, The Cranberries, and more.

After captivating audiences across Europe and the UK, the Rock Orchestra has brought its dark and cinematic spectacle to stages across the United States, earning a passionate global following without ever having released a single studio recording. The show speaks entirely through live performance — and it speaks loudly.
