Thrivefest North

Since 2018, Thrivefest North has provided a gathering of hope and inspiration to the Fargo-Moorhead area. Thrivefest North is a Christian music festival in Moorhead, Minnesota providing a full day of family-friendly entertainment. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, August 24th, 2024 at the Bluestem Amphitheater. Proceeds from the festival support the Rising Hope Foundation. Rising Hope Foundation’s mission is to provide shelter and healing while igniting hope and restoration to those freed from the abuses of human trafficking.

As a truck driver, Leckie saw first hand the “modern day slavery” that was happening around the country. Seeing young girls on a regular basis being driven to truck stops and forced to go around and knock on driver’s doors was a real awakening. In January 2013, David and his wife, Vicki, began the process of setting up a non-profit organization to offer restoration and healing to victims of human trafficking. With prayers and support of friends and contributors they work to make a real difference in the lives of young women enslaved by human trafficking.
